Dr Monica Rikard-Bell

Dr Rikard-Bell began her interest in fertility as an embryologist with Genea Fertility. With this unique background, she completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame. Dr Rikard-Bell was awarded her fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists after undertaking her obstetrics and gynaecology training at Orange Health Service and Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

To advance her expertise in reproductive medicine, Dr Rikard-Bell completed a Masters of Human Reproduction and Genetics at the University of Sydney before entering private practice as a fertility specialist. 

In addition to the expert fertility care she provides at Central West Fertility Specialists, she can also be found for consultation through Highlands Healthcare. 

Areas of expertise

Having been raised in regional NSW, Dr Rikard-Bell is passionate about women’s health and rural medicine. Her special interests include:

  • General infertility
  • Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (formerly polycystic ovary syndrome)
  • Endometriosis
  • Fibroids

Beyond fertility medicine

Dr Rikard-Bell is a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney and also tutors medical students and ob/gyn registrars.
